Why do you need an index?
A good index is a vital component to any non-fiction book. It allows the reader to:
a) decide if it is the right book for them. Does it have the coverage and subject matter they require.
b) quickly access those pages and sections of the book they are interested in.
c) return to and retrieve information they have previously read.

If they are poorly made and cannot do the job for which they are intended, they frustrate the readers. Simply put, a bad index diminishes a book. B.A Honours Degree in History
Information Technology experience - 17 years - working in various roles including, programming, systems analysis, software development, project management, I.T and Quality Systems documentation and I.T training.
